Welcome and thank you for your interest in working at Norfolk County Council within Norfolk First Response. It’s a great time to join as we develop and expand our services.
Our four services in Norfolk First Response look after the needs of our customers to ensure a smooth transition from hospital (Reablement) or a fast, efficient solution to care needs in their own homes (Unplanned Needs).
If you have experience in care or a caring nature and want to change to a career in care (full training provided), we would love to hear from you.
- Accommodation Based Reablement (ABS) is a service for customers who following discharge from hospital require a short term residential reablement programme to return to their own homes. The aim is to maximise the independence of more people and reduce the number of people going into residential care.
- Norfolk First Support (NFS) is a service offering planned visits to help people to regain their independence with the skills of daily living, keeping them out of hospital and in their own homes.
- Supported Care Service is an unplanned integrated day support service for people at risk of admission into hospital, providing an immediate response for people to stay safe and well at home wherever possible. The Supported Care teams includes of physiotherapists, nurses, occupational therapists, support workers and reablement practitioners in collaboration with our health partners.
- Swifts & Night Owls is a team providing one off unplanned support services for immediate response during evenings and nights for people to stay safe and well at home wherever possible.
